IGA is creating new video game that incorporates classic igavania gaming principles. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an igavania styled video game that focuses on exploration using side scrolling as you battle your way through a castle filled with demons. Bloodstain will work on a variety of platforms, including PC, Mac, Linux, XBOX, Playstation 4 and Wii.
The cast of characters in Bloodstained includes Miriam, who became a host for the Alchemist curse. Gebel suffers from the magi-crystal disease and summons the castle of demons after destroying the guild that created him. Johannes is Miriam’s best friend. The story is told as you begin to explore the castle summoned from hell and gain experience and power along the way.
Bloodstained raised $5,545,991 through a Kickstarter crowdfunding effort for its video game. IGA commenced crowdfunding in May 11, 2015 and made the fundraising goal of $500,000 on May 12, 2015. IGA established stretch goals to include cheat codes for $1M, local co-op for $1.25M, add new boss to the castle for $1.5M and speedrun model for $1.75M.
IGA established reward tiers for its crowdfunding supporters, like:
- Digital copy of Bloodstain for $28 that works on Xbox One, PS4, or STEAM
- Special backer hard copy that includes Kickstarter case for $60
- Signed collectors box for $300
- Get scriven credits for $750
- Your own in-game enemy for $3,000
IGA is backed by Inti Creates which is situated in Tokyo, Japan and was started by a group of industry gaming veterans.
